The Chapel was originally located on McKinley Street (on property now occupied by the New London Police Department).  The first worship services were held following the dedication on September 11, 1949.  Bishop Geepp spoke at the formal dedication service.  The Chapel was named "The Trinity Chapel", but often referred to as 'The Little White Church on McKinley Street'.  Rev. Karl Koch was the minister.  When it was dedicated there were 100 people inside the small church and 100 more outside.
Before the Chapel became a church it was used as a school.  The 'Three Pines School' was located in the Town of Liberty.  Eventually, the school closed and the building became the 'Evangelican United Brotheren Church'.  In 1991, the Chapel was donated to the New London Historical Society and moved to the Village.
The Chapel has been furnished as a non-denominational church set aside for worship and personal meditation. Some entry rooms contain books and historical collections.
The Chapel is also available for weddings.
