Senior Services & Transit Bus

 New London's Senior Center, located by entering the southern-most Dickinson Street parking lot at the Washington Center, hosts activities like Monday Sheepshead Card Party, Tuesday 50 Cent Bingo, Wednesday Mexican Train (dominoes), a monthly Memory Cafe for dementia sufferers, live music performances, special seasonal events, and more. The Senior Center is the hub for Waupaca County's Nutrition Program and Home Delivered Meals. Typically, l
unch is served at the center Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m.  At present, the congregate meal site is CLOSED due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 
Home Delivered Meals are available for the home bound elderly.  Call (920) 538-6286 to register and obtain information.
The Senior Center is your resource for a variety of information, including: Medicare, Homestead Credit, Tax Preparation, Benefit Advocate, Health Screenings and more. Call us at 920-982-8522. 


Senior/Accessible Transit Service
Bus_MikeLocal transportation within the city limits of New London is available for individuals 60 and older as well as individuals of all ages with disabilities and their caretakers. This service is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.   A suggested $3 roundtrip donation is appreciated. Caretakers ride free.
Rides must be scheduled 24 hours or more in advance by calling 982-8523.  The bus is equipped with a wheelchair lift that is also suitable for walkers and scooters.
