Volunteer Opportunities

New London Public Museum is always looking for people who are interested in learning new things, meeting new people and having a good time. At NLPM we have lots of opportunities for volunteers. This is just a brief look at what we can offer you… 

Educational Programming - teaching, sharing or helping. If you enjoy working with students, adults and/or families, then join us as an educational volunteer as we help our community discover new things. Programs take place at the museum as well as other locations around the area.

Museum Sitters – a great chance to get to know the museum, its visitors and some new people. Sometimes we need help taking care of the museum and greeting guests. If you have a bit more time to commit, this is a great opportunity for you! Some training is involved.

Events - don’t have much time, but still want to get involved? This is perfect for you. We always need some extra hands for our events and programs. This is a flexible, fun way to be involved, even when you don’t have much time!

Exhibits – building and installing exhibits at NLPM is a vital part of our mission. We need people with building skills, tools and time to help us create fantastic exhibits to the museum.
