Volunteering

Lend a hand to help save history!

New London Public Museum is always looking for people who are interested in learning new things, meeting other people and having a good time.  At NLPM we have lots of exciting opportunities for volunteers.  This is just a brief look at what we can offer you...
Curatorial -

help us preserve the collection, work with the artifacts.  Training is provided, some computer skills are needed.

Clerical -

help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes at NLPM.  Assist with greeting visitors, answering questions, helping the staff organize information, mailings and other office duties.

Educational Programming -
teaching, sharing or helping.  If you enjoy working with students, adults and/or families, then join us as an educational volunteer as we help our community discover the past.  Programs take place at the museum as well as other locations around the area.
Exhibits -
building and installing exhibits at NLPM is a vital part of our mission.  We need people with building skills, tools and time to help us create fantastic exhibits to the museum.

Volunteering has never been so much fun!
