| The Traffic Education program offers good drivers who receive minor citations a one-night class on traffic law. Our project is based on two beliefs: | |||||||||||||
| * | Many traffic laws are not understood, and | ||||||||||||
| * | Traditional court options do not produce better drivers. | ||||||||||||
What's in it for you? First and foremost, we will try to make you a wiser and safer driver. Additionally the cost of the class is $50.00, substantially less than the citation you were issued. |
| When you sign up for the class, we put your citation (ticket) on hold. If you successfully complete the class, the citation is voided. | |||||||||||||
| That means: | |||||||||||||
Do I qualify for the class? |
| * | You must have a valid Driver's License ( or recently expired) | ||||||||||||
| * | You must have a clean driver's license record for the last 12 months. | ||||||||||||
| * | The points on the ticket must not be higher than 4. | ||||||||||||
| You may pick up a brochure at the New London Police Department for more information. | |||||||||||||
