New London Community Garden

The City of New London has a partnership with Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church-New London and the New London United Methodist Church offering spaces for growing gardens. Remember, these organizations are graciously inviting the community onto their private property for gardening purposes and we must respect that to make this a win-win situation for everyone!

Please understand that this is a community garden and mistakes do happen.  Be courteous when resolving any issues between you and another gardening participant. We ask that all gardeners maintain their plot, manage compost, keep on top of weeds, harvest promptly and help keep the site clean in order for it to continue to be successful.  If a plot is not maintained, the gardener will by contact and given a 2 week notice to clean it up. If not cleaned up during that time, the plot will be cleared of all plants. The gardener will not be eligible to obtain a plot the following year.  Review all rules for when utilizing the gardens.

Each plot is 4' x 10' in size.  Renters will be able to pick their plots on a first come first serve basis.  **To ease any confusion with which plot(s) have been rented/reserved you will see a blue PVC pipe that will be placed in each garden box once the plot has been taken. Please keep these pipes in place so new renters can distinguish which plots are available. **
