Voter Registration

VOTER REGISTRATION

Requirements:

  • You must be a citizen of the United States and 18 years of age on Election Day
  • You must be a resident of the City of New London who has resided at the address you are registering from for at least 28 consecutive days prior to an election

Where to Register to Vote

  • Register at the City Clerk’s office at 215 N. Shawano St. Monday - Thursday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm and Fridays 7:30 am to 11:30 am in person or by mail

When to Register

  • If online, the deadline to register is the 3rd Wednesday before the election
  • If at the Clerk’s Office, the deadline to register is the Friday before the election
  • At your polling place on Election Day

What do I need to register?

  • All persons registering to vote are required to provide Proof of Residence  showing current name and current City of New London address. Visit My Vote Wisconsin website to determine what documents may or may not be used for registration. 
  • If registering by mail, please note, the State of Wisconsin requires the Wisconsin Voter Registration Application (Form EL-131) be used. Third party mailers may send you applications that cannot be used. Form EL-131is available at the Clerk’s Office or at from the Wisconsin Elections Commission website
  • Or simply register online https://myvote.wi.gov/ with a valid, unexpired Wisconsin Driver License or Wisconsin State ID Card.

Please call the City Clerk’s office at the number below to learn your voting location, or check at the State of Wisconsin’s MyVote website. Your street address determines your voting location.

Electors are not required to register prior to each election.  You only need to register if you have moved since the last election and have not registered from your new address, or have changed your name since the last election.
