Plainview, or Plano, Lanceolate cluster points have a wide distribution around the country from Texas to Alaska and as far east as Ohio and Alabama. The heaviest concentration is in the plains. The type was first discovered at a site in association with extinct bison. The site, known as Plainview, is located in the High Plains of Texas.
