Wade points are part of the Terminal Archaic Barbed Cluster. This point is most commonly associated with the Tennessee River Valley, but may also be found in the Ohio River Valley and into southern Michigan and eastern Missouri. The point is often found in areas of shell middens and in early Woodland sites associated with pottery.
