Cobbs Triangular Blade/Point., Early Archaic Period.

Identifying features include, Straight Stem (Tang Shape), Lanceolate/Triangular (Blade Shape), Subconvex (Base Shape). All sides of the projectile point exhibit signs of fine pressure flaking, plus one side has a steeply beveled edge.

There is some discussion about how this type of point was used. It has been suggested that it was used as a knife or as a preform of other types of points such as the St. Charles point. It is found throughout the Ohio River Valley, Tennessee River Valley, and the Mississippi River Valley, and as far east as the Piedmont of Virginia and the Carolinas.
