The Godar point is part of the Large Side Notched Cluster of projectile points. The Godar point and Raddatz point have essentially the same characteristics. Medium sized, side-notched points in Illinois are referred to as Godar and medium-sized, side-notched points in Wisconsin are referred to as Raddatz.

Like most Middle Archaic side-notched types, when looking at a typical point, there is are difference in shapes. But as the characteristics of the type move way from what is typical, the types begins to overlap. This makes it difficult to distinguish between them without knowing where they were found and what else was around them at the site.
