The Raddatz point is part of the Large Side Notched Cluster of projectile points. This style of point was first discovered in 1959 at the Raddatz Rock Shelter in Sauk County, Wisconsin.

The Raddatz point and Godar point have essentially the same characteristics. Medium sized, side-notched points in Illinois are referred to as Godar and medium-sized, side-notched points in Wisconsin are referred to as Raddatz.
