Description:
Fourteen specimens of sea snail shells in excellent condition. Very visible spires, body whorls sutures and ribs on each specimen. Originally identified as Certhium striatum but are now identified as Mesalia claibornensis.

These specimens are sea snails that have an unknown geology however the genus Mesalia have existed for at least the last 70 million years. Athough this particular species is extinct, closely related species of Mesalia still exist today. All Mesalia are sea snails and can only live in marine environments; there are no fresh water sea snails.
